How Many Contacts per Company do these 4 Major B2B Contact Data Companies Provide? [Infographic]

Last month, SalesInside published an infographic which illustrated the results of a little study they did on four major players in the B2B contact data space – InsideView, Lead411, and ZoomInfo. Specifically, they measured the ‘average contacts per company’ from each vendor.

The results were unexpected. The outcomes fluctuated from a low of 0.12 contacts records per company to a high of 0.77. Note: the study excluded the retail sector which boasted 2.02 contacts per company.

And so we’re left to understand that these data vendors struggle to provide even one contact per company, on average. The below infographic tells the story of that data coverage (or lack thereof).

As SalesInside says:

“This issue of inadequate data coverage also points to an interesting paradox – inadequate data in the era of abundant information. Contact profiles have never ever been so public, thanks to social media and public API. Then why is contact data still missing? Is it because of limited automation capabilities or user privacy regulations? Does it need specialist teams with data enrichment capabilities to fill this issue of data coverage?”
